There are lots of different projects out there on the internet, but this is one of the nicest ones I’ve seen. I love the combination of vintage knobs, hooks and that beautiful frame. Once you add your lovely statement jewelry you’ve got a piece of art for your bedroom!

Two little boys who were literally swept out of the arms of their mother during the hurricane have been found dead. But that’s not the whole story, and it gets even sadder: 39-year-old Glenda Moore, the mother of the two boys (pictured above with her husband, Damian), knocked on doors in her Staten Island neighborhood, begging for help during the hurricane. Mother nature is a force of evil we can’t control, but I sure as hell wish we’d realize that the bigger issue here is the inequality that becomes stark in situations like this. Those little boys are victims of racism - not hurricane sandy. ugh.

My mom and I attended a phone-banking event at Colorado Republican Headquarters and got a “motivational speech” from Matt Romney about how his dad rescued him from a surfing accident on a tropical family vacation and so can be the one to “rescue” us all, if elected.
When we took out the camera and asked for a photo, I revealed my idea for a better way to rescue us from wealth inequality. In 1979 the highest marginal tax rate was 70%. By 1989 it was 28% and now stands at only 35%. I wonder why all income growth since 1979 has gone to the rich…

Wealth disparity is killing us. TAX THE RICH.
